Are movements.<br> _Write about Modern poetry means that you will write about the whole period but , write about Modernism means the first Twenty years only…<br> What are the characteristics of this school of poetry, of this movement "the Modernism"?<br> 1-"Literary allusions":-<br> Means you take image from another poem" quote".<br> It could be a line, or an idea, and the image could be taken from a poem, a play, or a novel, so you need to understand the quotation or allusion to understand the poem.<br> It also makes the poem difficult to understand.<br> This is difficult to understand as you should go back to the source of the allusion and understand it to go back then to the poem to understand it.<br> The allusion may be written in Latin, like taken a Greek myth and insert it to the poem, it makes the poem more difficult to be understood.<br> _Some poets said to support our idea , we did so (inserting anything to the poem)<br> 2-"Symbolist vision":-<br><span class="copyright">الموضوع الأصلى من هنا: English4arab <a href="http://adf.ly/330861/http://www.english4arab.net/vb/t31150-post349713.html">http://www.pubd3m.com/f11-montadat31150-post349713.html</a></span><br> _You might take a word and this words symbols (various_ different) images or things.<br> _This symbol can give different visions ,each vision can fit the context … We may use the (EX) "Water" ,and water may give a different vision, symbol of life and fertility.<br> 3-"Experimentalism":-<br> Experimental poetry means "The poets of the period (the first twenty years of the 20TH century), tried their hands at different forms of poems.<br> _EX: You may find a poem that was written in a form of heart, in the form of prose.
